The Qingpu 200 t/d municipal sludge drying plant was built and operated since in 2014. It is designed to treat the all the municipal sludge of the entire Qingpu District, whose resident population is around 1.2 million. Under the guidance of Shanghai Qingpu Water Authority, SafBon built the project with its advanced technologies and innovative business models. It addresses the potential problems produced from conventional municipal sludge treatment, for instance, the smell and land occupation caused by landfill and compost.
Qingpu, Shanghai Sludge Drying Plant
Overview
-
Capability: 200 t/d
-
Technology: Sludge drying technology (thin film dryer) synergized with power generation
-
Project type: BOT
-
Location: Qingpu distrust, Shanghai, China
Main Process
Highlights
-
Patented innovative technology
The thin-film sludge dryer utilized in this project is independently developed by SafBon who owns all intellectual property rights. This technology has filled a domestic gap in this treatment field and has achieved high sludge dehydration rates with correspondingly low environmental impacts.
-
Unique operating mode
The process of sludge drying synergized with power generation and involves taking the sludge from the municipal waste water treatment plant and drying it, using synergies from power generation to produce the final product. It involves a comprehensive utilization of the resources of the sludge treatment system which comprises of power plant, sludge drying plant and municipal waste water treatment plant.
-
A holistic circular economy mode
With the circular economy mode applied in the Qingpu municipal sludge drying plant project, around 4.6 thousand ton standard coal can be saved every year, and 11.5 thousand t/a CO2 emissions was reduced.
The construction of this project also brought social benefits to the client and the citizens in Qingpu district. It solved the urgent problem of sludge disposal. It can alleviate the sludge retention pressure, reduce the impact of sludge landfill on the surrounding environment, reduce the consumption of landfill capacity, and enhance the stability and safety of the sludge treatment.
SafBon invested, designed and delivered combined rotary kiln with secondary combustion chamber technology for the hazardous waste treatment plant for Penglai chemical industry park, Shandong province. The project effectively solves the disposal of hazardous waste and eliminates environmental pollution. Furthermore, the cost effectiveness of the treatment is economically beneficial to the waste producing companies.
Overview
-
Capability: 30 t/d
-
Technology: Combined rotary kiln with secondary combustion chamber
-
Project type: Private-Public-Partnership (PPP)
-
Location: Penglai, Shandong Province, China
Main Process
Bag-Type Dust Collector Secondary Combustion Chamber
Highlights
-
Wide Applicability for Incoming Waste Streams
The rotary kiln can handle with a large variety of industrial solid wastes with varying properties and heat value concurrently . The incineration process of the mature rotary kiln and the secondary combustion chamber is able to form good "3T" (temperature, time and turbulence) burning conditions, and the waste is decomposed and burnt completely.
-
Less Byproducts from the Process
Two combustion chambers have design temperatures between 1100°C to 1300°C, and coupled with the flue gas retention time being greater than 2 seconds, the combination of these can completely break down the dioxins, which are harmful to human health.
-
Automation
Online and offline cleaning can be monitored and the lime and activated carbon dosing can also been regulated offline to achieve excellent results. In this particular project, SafBon demonstrated excellent ability in the field of solid waste treatment and advanced technology application in this area. It showcases SafBon’s commitment to the environment and community to provide reliable and efficient technology hazardous waste treatment.
